This Privacy Policy explains how Walls Industries LLC, doing business as DirtWorks (“DirtWorks,” “we,” “us”) collects, uses and shares information when you use our website and Services (Hive, DirtWorks Field, Peep Sight, Grade Checker, Hummingbird processing and Site Scan). It is part of our Terms of Service.
Information we collect
- Account information: your name, email address, company name, password (stored only as a secure hash), role, and the date you accepted our Terms.
- Your Content: files and data you upload or create, such as drone imagery, plans, CAD, documents, photos, field shots and notes, including any location data they contain.
- Location: when you allow it, your device’s location to show your position on a job, sort jobs by distance and tag field photos and shots. You can turn location access off in your device or browser settings.
- Camera and motion sensors: Peep Sight uses your camera and motion sensors on your device to draw the level line; the camera view is processed on your device and is not uploaded.
- Usage and device information: sign-in times, IP address, browser and device type, and actions taken in the Services, kept in logs for security, support and billing.
- Folder estimates: when you pick a folder for a Hummingbird estimate on our website, photos are counted in your browser; the files are not uploaded unless you ask us to process them.
- Payment information: when paid plans are purchased, payments are handled by our payment processor; we do not store full card numbers.
Peep Sight mobile app
The DirtWorks Peep Sight mobile app collects no personal information. It has no account or sign-in, no analytics, advertising or tracking, and it does not connect to our servers. The camera view and tilt-sensor readings are used only on your device to draw the level and grade lines and are never recorded, stored or sent anywhere. Your settings (such as band sizes, slope, distance and which hand you use) are saved only on your device and are removed when you delete the app. Tapping the DirtWorks link in the app opens our website in your web browser, where this Privacy Policy applies.
How we use information
To provide, operate, secure and improve the Services; to process and deliver your data and results; to provide support (including when the DirtWorks superadmin accesses an account to help a customer or resolve a problem); to send service messages such as trial, billing and security notices; to prevent fraud and abuse; and to comply with law. We do not sell your personal information and we do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising.
How information is shared
- Within your company: your company admin and members of your Hive can see your company’s jobs and data according to their roles.
- People you share with: jobs and files are shared only as you or your company choose; content you make public can be viewed by anyone in the public gallery.
- Service providers: companies that host, store, process or deliver data, send email or process payments for us, under contracts that limit their use of it.
- Legal and safety: when required by law, to protect rights and safety, or in connection with a merger, financing or sale of the business.
Retention
We keep account information and Your Content while your account is active and as needed to provide the Services. After an account closes, we delete or de-identify it within a reasonable time unless the law requires us to keep it. Security and billing logs may be kept longer.
Security
We use reasonable administrative, technical and physical safeguards, including encrypted connections and hashed passwords. No system is completely secure; please use a strong, unique password.
Your choices and rights
You can update your account information in the Services and ask us to access, correct, export or delete your personal information. California residents have rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act, as amended, including to know, access, correct and delete personal information and to not be discriminated against for exercising these rights. Children
The Services are for adults in the construction and related industries. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18.
Changes
We may update this policy. If a change is material we will give notice through the Services or by email before it takes effect.
